Voicemail

IPVision Voicemail solution is based on Asterisk running on a Linux distribution with several enhancements made especially that makes this solution cost-effective and customer-value oriented, and complies with customers needs.

On the same hardware platform, the application server and the Media server are integrated into a single cost effective and scalable solution.

The Platform will be interconnected to the VoIP network via the IPVision Class 5 Call Manager using SIP as the interconnection protocol. When a caller needs to leave a message, the call is diverted to the VoIP platform, and the softswitch will divert this call to the IPVision VM application.

The standard quota settings are 100 messages per user and a length of 180 seconds per message. But those parameters can be adjusted in order to fit the customer’s expected behavior.

Type of Notifications

• On SMS, the VM system can send the notification, with basic information
• On MMS, the VM system can send the attached message itself, as well as the notification
• On Email, the VM system will send an email with all the information, as well as the attached message

The end user will be able to check its messages either via the standard IVR dialing the access number, or using the VM web portal (compatible with any standard browser). Both options will be available in any of the following languages: English, Spanish by default.

The solution integrates with the Ozeki SMS/MMS gateway application, allowing the voicemail solution to expand its portfolio of new-voicemail notification methods to SMS/MMS. The Ozeki Gateway use SMPP and MM7 protocols for communication when sending SMS and MMS messages respectively to end users.
