The Signal Transfer Point (SVI-STP) and Diameter Signalling Controller (SVI-DSC) from Squire Technologies provide core network connectivity and routing between multiple networks, including legacy networks, ensuring operators can maximise LTE and VoLTE coverage for their subscribers.

SVI-STP fully supports SS7 networks and SIGTRAN and integration with DIAMETER-based networks.

The modular design of our products allows Diameter Signalling support to be enabled on the SVI-STP using the carrier grade SVI-DSC: Diameter Signalling Controller.

The Squire Technologies SVI-DSC manages routing, interworking, and Diameter traffic security in LTE and IMS networks and ensures forward and backward compatibility between 5G, 4G, and 3G/2G networks. The product has three components that can be utilised individually or combined for various requirements.

The SVI-DSC’s three components are:

  • Diameter Edge Agent – creating a secure exchange of authentication, authorisation and subscriber policy across LTE networks;
  • Diameter Routing Agent – offers scalable centralised routing of Diameter messages in a multi-vendor, multi-node environment within a service provider’s IMS core; and
  • Interworking Function – provides Diameter to SS7 CAMEL, MAP, RADIUS, HTTP/2 and 5G Nchf interop, insuring seamless interworking between legacy and NGN networks.
The SVI-DSC enables:

Backward compatibility to legacy networks with interworking;

WiFi offload for mobile subscribers;

Seamless mobile roaming between 5G, 4G and 3G networks;

Security with an integrated fraud prevention gateway; and
