15-Sep-2011 • Aruba : SETAR chooses IPVision and ADAX to upgrade its Signaling Transfer Point Solution

Based on our continuous maintenance and telecommunications consultancy at SETAR NV we were able to offer an advanced plan to renew the old telephony switching hardware. The international signaling was managed by a 5ESS switch equipment from the latest 80’s which limits the future of the network expansion/upgrade.

The project consist to migrate the STP functionality from the 5ESS international switch to modern solution; an ADAX STP with highly redundant of 64 SS7 links of capacity.

The Adax HA STP solution delivers the best STP functionality, with advanced IP connectivity with SIGTRAN protocol family, permitting connections from the SS7 network (low speed links) to high speed links over IP. This will be a great benefit for Setar moving forward.

STP Solution have been fully migrated to the ATCA chassis. At the end of the project the customer has:

• A national STP quad conformed of 4 ARP blades, hosted into two ZYNX2000 ATCA chassis, and located in two different sites.
• The International STP capabilities are now available on the ATCA chassis, better known as IGA (International Gateway
